Resilience

In a region rocked by ongoing war and compounding poverty; hopelessness leads to despair. Violence and family breakdown cause ripple effects. In other places, systemic injustices such as trafficking or forced displacement lead to psychological trauma. This gift supports counsellors and social workers running projects that care for the whole person in contexts where mental health is severely threatened. When a person’s emotional and psychological needs can be appropriately cared for, they can become healed and healing members of their community.
